Please note final date for enrolment - 9 June 2017

National Certificate Resolving of Crime

The National Certificate Resolving of Crime focuses on individuals that aspire to become or are employed as a Detective in the South African Police Service or a Corporate Forensic Investigator in the private sector.

The National Certificate Resolving of Crime has 4 electives which students can choose from, two for the Policing environment and two for the Corporate environment.

Policing Environment:
  1. General Investigations
This content is designed for individuals in the Policing environment that investigate general crimes and incidents. This includes the gathering of complete and accurate evidence and maintenance of case files.

  2. Family Violence
The content of the Family Violence programme focuses on what members of the SAPS, non-governmental organisations (NGO's) and private institutions need to know when dealing with such incidents and also deal with aspects of Child Protection.
Corporate Environment:
  1. Investigative Auditing
The content is designed to highlight the principles applied during Investigative Auditing engagements and covers the way in which thorough assessments or reviews are undertaken. It also looks at the basics related to the Audit Profession, but will not qualify you as an Auditor.

  2. Anti-Corruption
We combined Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money-Laundering and Disciplinary Investigations in an informative elective aimed at the public service sector. This elective is also available for the Corporate and Policing sectors.
Please note: You may enrol for an additional elective at an additional fee per elective on our Credit Bearing Short Course page.
